The winner and “special mentions” are decided by participants at the 2010 informatology conference (weighted 80%) and the online voters (20%).
To mimic the real-life judging process where a panel of judges considers a shortlist and then each votes on each entry with a show of hands, we analyse the data in this way…
1. Focus on voters with varied ratings for a few videos.
2. Each talk where they are most enthusiastic gets a Vote.
3. For each talk, calculate the Votes/Ratings %.
